How the Culture Groups Evolved
Throughout history, there has been a gap between the rich and the poor. From the Kings and the Peasants to the the Nobles and the Commoners to more recently the Greasers and the Socs.
Through time the culture groups of America have evolved. They started off as the upper class and lower class, also known as the rich and the poor. As time went on into the 1950's and '60's they evolved to what we know as the Greasers and Socs, and many more social groups. The Greasers evolved from the lower class and the Socs evolved from the upper class. As we got closer to the present day, the Greasers and Socs have evolved back into what separates us today, the rich and the poor.
Currently, the gap between the rich and the poor is widening. With growing stereotypes and higher expectations in things like how much money one makes or where one gets their education is growing an impact on the prime of today. Many coming from a poor neighborhood are expected to work in lower jobs with lower pay therefore causing an impact of their children while people of wealthier standards are expected to go to a pristine collage and get a high paying job to earn more money to be passed down to their children. At this rate and with the growing changes in society, the gap between the two might only widen in comparison to the past and current time of today.
